The House of Bah Foundation: Afro Fest Giving

At House of Bah Foundation, we enhance equitable employment access and cultural diversity in the community through culturally affirming cuisine education and culinary training. Our mission is to foster connections and solve social issues by promoting African culinary heritage.

We are proud to serve as the official fiscal sponsor for Afro Fest Omaha, a vibrant celebration of African and diaspora culture that showcases live music, dance, authentic cuisine, and arts. Their mission to foster unity and promote understanding perfectly aligns with our own values of building a stronger, more vibrant Omaha.

Join us on Sunday, August 31st from 2 PM to 10 PM at the Heartland of America Park for this incredible all-ages festival! Come and experience the largest celebration of its kind in the Midwest.

If you can't make it to the festival, you can still be a part of the magic. Your tax-deductible donation, managed through the House of Bah Foundation, ensures this vital community event can flourish for years to come.

We are delighted to celebrate Chef Pepin’s 90th birthday with a special prix fixe menu inspired by Chef Pepin’s recipe at Le Voltaire French Restaurants. Our own Executive Director and Chef  Djamil Bah-Traore will work with Cedric Fichepain, a French chef who immigrated to Omaha in 2001 and opened the restaurant as well as current owner  Chef Wilson Calixte, originally from Haiti.
